Manila, Philippines (AHN) - A mid-air collision of two light planes in the Philippines killed three people, including two foreigners, Sunday afternoon. Police said two Cessna plane collided and crashed on a rice field in Malolos City in Bulacan, central Philippines.

Teruel's companion, 25-year-old Varsha Gopinanth, a student pilot, and an Indian national, also perished during the mishap.
Both planes took off from an airfield in Plaridel also in the province of Bulacan on their way to Manila when they collided at around 1 p.m., local time.
A witness said he saw the planes colliding above a school building. Apparently, the wings of the planes hit each other before crashing in a rice field.
